How it works
The image is drawn onto a canvas at the dimensions you enter and exported again in its original format, all inside your browser. JPG stays JPG, PNG stays PNG, and WebP stays WebP, so transparency is preserved wherever the format supports it.
With “Lock aspect ratio” on, changing the width adjusts the height to match the original proportions. Turning it off lets you set both independently, which will stretch the picture. Enlarging an image past its original size cannot add detail that was never captured — the result will look softer than the original.
